Soy de introduces your origin. Change Inglaterra to your own country.

Where do you live?

Dónde means where; vives is informal singular you live.

I live in Madrid.

Vivo means I live; en means in. Use the same pattern with another town.

How the sentence works

Ser gives origin: soy de Inglaterra. Vivir means to live; vivo is I live and vives is you live. De means from and en means in. Madrid does not need an article in vivo en Madrid.
