Listen, understand, then hear it again

The English tutor introduces the situation. Two prepared voices play a short conversation in the language you are learning, followed by its English meaning and a breakdown of useful words and grammar. Hear it slowly, then at a natural pace, with time to think. You never have to speak aloud to use Listen.

Learn a little, use a little

Each course combines 30 teaching lessons, ten mini-tests, pictured vocabulary and animated learning rooms. Try ordering food, buying everyday items and answering a friend in Binx’s Little Town. Familiar words connect later lessons to earlier ones, while every topic introduces something new.

Free audio, with clear access

Each course’s first five-minute MP3, opening six teaching lessons and complete Little Town are free. No account is required to try them. A free account remembers your position; the full course and longer audio sessions require upgraded access. Checkout is currently closed and there are no subscriptions.

Taking it on a walk

Use the app player’s Play button to load and start the whole session. It offers normal and slower playback, replay, saved positions and MP3 downloads. Background listening depends on your phone and browser; a downloaded MP3 also opens in a native audio player.
